Own Your Word or Phrase. We didn't invent this concept: there are several "buy-a-word" web sites out there. But they give you a list of words to buy. Maybe you're in the travel business and want the word "travel". Makes sense! But if they don't have "travel" included in their word list, you're out of luck; you have to choose whatever is closest to what you want, and "vacation" may not quite be right. That's just dumb to force you to choose a word that isn't exactly what you want.

1024ads.com Does it Smarter: You know the business you're in better than anyone, so why shouldn't you choose just the right word (or short phrase) that works for you? So your choice is almost infinite -- unless someone else gets the word or phrase you want. No duplications are allowed! And the links are real links -- no redirectors that hide the links' destinations.

And Have You Noticed how other sites are completely ambiguous about how long they'll be around after you buy your spot? They use words like "at least" a few years. And just who are they, anyway? Some say they're run by students. Some don't even say who's behind them, or even actively hide their identities. They just want you to send them your money and you have to hope for the best. Does that inspire your confidence? So once they sell out the ads, they have no incentive whatever to keep their site up and running. We do. We have been in the Online Publishing business since 1994. We survived the "Dotcom Meltdown" when other companies were falling dead at our feet. We'll still be here for years to come (there's more on the Who We Are page). We do have incentive to stay around: your payment holds your ad word for two years, and then you can renew. We're not here for a few months; we're here for years so we can sell the space over a long timespan. That continued income ensures the site will continue too.

Buying Your Word or Phrase. Our base price is $50 for you to own your word or phrase -- up to 10 characters and spaces. Additional characters are $5 each; it pays to be concise to get your main concept across. "Weird News", "Travel" or "Domain Names" are good example; "Register Your Internet Domain With Us" is a bad example. If people want to know more, they can "hover" over any link to get more information (try it now on one of the featured ads on the right). Up to 100 characters of hover text is included in the ad price.

Then, To Call More Attention to your ad word, you can dress it up with several optional add-ons: several different available fonts, font sizes, bold, italics, and colors. We don't want a gray block of text! What would catch the eye of the people you're trying to reach? You have total control over the look.

And If That Wasn't Enough, we have the Featured Ads block on every page too. Only 64 are available, and only 16 show at any one time (randomly selected when more than 16 have been sold). They're in addition to the regular ad word shown on the main page. (The optional font, size, bold, etc. does not show in the box, since it would really look terrible.)

There Is a Limit! In addition to only 64 Featured Ads, there is of course a limit on the total number of ad words available on 1024ads.com. As you may have guessed by now, that limit is 1024 ads.
